I finally made a card after a long break. Recently there have been lots of birthdays in our family, but I didn't make a single card! Too much pressure to make "special" cards, so I didn't even start! Silly I know, but true sometimes.
So last night, I just stamped for fun and not for any particular occasion. I love challenges bc they help me with an initial idea. The Inky Paws color challenge of red, black, green and white caught my eye and I thought this cute set would lend itself well to it. It's a pretty simple layout with just a bit of twine and tape.
I colored the image with copics which are my favorite coloring medium right now! I invested in Sandy Allnock's Copic hexagon chart to keep track of my colors and used it for the first time on this card. It made it so easy to pick the marker that would match the colors of the paper. Love it!

Awesome job! Your images are so sweet as well as your coloring. Love your layout - especially that little strip of black. Just adds the perfect balance.
I can't remember how I ever colored without that Hex Chart for my Copics - it really does make it so much nicer!
Thanks for joining us for this Inky Paws Challenge!

Oh, Donna, what a darling card, and Sandy's Hex chart is very helpful. Your coloring is beautiful, and what a darling card! Oh, how I know how taking a long break and then having to buy cards. We really shouldn't worry about it. After all, this is a hobby, which is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. Haha! Not always the case, right? ;) But you've done a sweet and beautiful card using the colors, and I love it! Love the sentiment especially! Hugs! xoxo
